Samsung works on search engine visibility

The UK arm of electronics giant Samsung has chosen full search agency Bigmouthmedia to improve its search engine visibility.

Under the terms of the deal, Bigmouthmedia will work on increasing the firm's search engine positioning, focussing particularly on dominating specific branded electronic product terms.

Online manager at Samsung Karl Te Aika, said: "Search marketing is a key element of Samsung's online strategy and we are confident that Bigmouthmedia will help us achieve our goals and objectives for organic listings."

Simon Heyes at Bigmouthmedia said: "Samsung know exactly what they want from their search campaign and it's fantastic to have been selected to deliver the results for them."

In addition to acting as search engine marketing partner to Samsung, Bigmouthmedia handles campaigns for more than 100 household-name clients, the company claims.

Last year, Forrester Research predicted that European marketers from firms big and small would spend almost €3 billion (£2 billion) on search engine marketing by 2010.

As many as 58 per cent of British companies are planning to increase their spending on internet advertising, according to a poll from Google and the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), with companies' spending set to increase by half over the next three years.
