Opt-in marketing
Opt-in marketing is communicating with people who have given the company explicit permission to do so. It usually takes the form of a box to tick to receive further marketing information when a purchase is made. Companies who provide forms with this box already ticked are forcing customers to actively opt-out of marketing. Newsletter campaigns are more effective when newsletter recipients have opted-in to receiving further marketing communications, as the contact is expected.
