Click through rate
The number of times that an online advert is clicked upon, either over a period of time or in relation to how many times the advert has been displayed. The average click through rate for unfocused internet adverts is 1% (the same as most traditional direct mail campaigns) - but if the adverts are more targeted to the people who visit a site, that rate can be significantly higher.
