Momentum requires an Operations Manager to lead a small team in delivering customer projects and in developing the company’s software. The role will be evenly split between project operations and product development, and will involve some hands on coding and project work.
One set of responsibilities includes managing and streamlining the implementation of software on customers’ websites, and ensuring a sustainable process is adhered to. The other aspect of the role involves the project management of the company’s software development activities.
The right candidate will have good technical skills in (X)HTML, and CSS together with knowledge of Javascript and PHP. Some experience of the following would be an advantage: ASP, Web Content Management, SQL, RSS and Atom syndication. The hands-on coding aspect of the role will involve the production of templates for a CMS using HTML and CSS with some PHP, and will require liaison with clients during the implementation process.
The ideal candidate will have 2 years experience in software development, preferably in a project management role and will be accustomed to work to tight deadlines. The candidate must be an excellent communicator and able to inspire a small team to deliver an intense workload. The role is primarily office-based, but the candidate will be expected to liaise with customers by phone and email. You will be working on strategic projects for clients across a range of industry sectors, and developing Momentum’s own software products and internal tools for Search Engine Optimisation (SEO). You should be enthusiastic about web marketing and interested in the function of search engines as well as issues such as web architecture, compliance, best practice and web analytics.
This is an exciting prospect for a technical project manager to join a dynamic and growing company. Working knowledge is a definite advantage.
